Kia’s 2024 Lineup: Sonet SUV and Carnival MPV Set to Impress in India

Kia Sonet SUV Kia Carnival MPV

Kia is set to launch two new ICE cars in India in 2024, including an SUV and an MPV. One of the offerings is the updated Kia Sonet, a subcompact SUV that has garnered praise for its extensive features. The upcoming Sonet facelift will feature refreshed interiors, including new black and tan-themed seats. Although minor changes have been made, the car’s impressive features, such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, rear AC vents, sunroof, and ventilated front seats, remain intact.

All models will have standard safety features, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, and ESP. The Sonet will continue to offer its current engine choices, which include a 1.2-liter petrol engine with a 5-speed manual, a 1.0-liter turbo petrol with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT, and a 1.5-liter diesel with either a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed TC.

The second offering is the new Kia Carnival, which has received a facelift inspired by the design elements of the Seltos and the EV9 electric SUV. The 2024 Carnival features a wider front grille with vertically stacked LED headlamps, giving it a bold and sophisticated look. The front bumpers have been subtly modified for an SUV-style appearance. The sides and rear profiles resemble the recently updated international model, with new alloy wheel designs reminiscent of the EV9 and connected LED taillights inspired by the updated Seltos.

While details about the interior changes have not been disclosed, Kia is expected to maintain a premium feel, offering various seating arrangements tailored to customer preferences. New color themes will also be introduced to differentiate the facelifted version from its predecessors.
